70 square metres of interior space begin the brief for these three fresh home
designs, but the final results are very different stories. First off, a high ceilinged apartment has been converted from a single level living space to a double story home with bold Scandi colour. Next up, we discover a high-end interior where gold elements flood a unique bedroom design that features a luxurious tufted reading nook. We complete the collection of 70 square metre homes with a smoky grey abode filled with light wood accents and a sophisticated soul. Oh, and we’ve thrown in all three awesome apartment floor plans to boot. You’re welcome! Designer: mossebo.studio In the historical center of St. Petersburg, this unique apartment was developed to the tastes of an avid traveller. The result is a mix of Scandinavian vibes and loft style living, with the original stucco decoration on the walls and ceiling retained. A blue geometric rug defines the lounge area in the open plan, along with a matching blue sofa. A modern end table and an industrial style floor lamp span the gap between the blue sofa and a stylish teal accent chair. Bold accessories and warm wood elements build confident eclectic character. The drapes are knocked back in a simple solid beige colourway. The main objective of the overhaul was to better utilise the 3.5 metre high ceilings of the old place. The single level apartment was transformed into a two level home, with the bedroom situated on the new second floor. A cosy aesthetic is curated with wood wall cladding and rustic meets modern furniture. The floor lamps are an Oda style lamp. Originals are available here. A spider chandelier suspends black cables across a white ceiling and a classic plaster molded medallion. Industrial metal balustrades keep the mezzanine bedroom light and visually connected with the main living space. Sunshine yellow walls bring a warm and lively energy to the home workspace. A partition of yellow rotating slats closes off the work area from the living room, separating business from pleasure. The hallway has been zoned in black, which also makes a practical choice for the area of the house that gets the most grubby traffic. A yellow entryway bench provides chink of light in the darkness. Black paintwork also camouflages the doors to the dressing room and pantry. In black, the stucco decorated space looks mysterious and distinguished. Cobalt blue bathroom paint is teamed with areas of black hexagonal tiles that’s richly outlined in gold grout. An unusual chandelier complements the angular tile shape. A washing machine and dryer set stack in a space saving tower. White geo tiles contrast against a royal blue accent wall, building a creative surround for the toilet. Apartment floor plan. Visualizer: Ray2a Bold colour is dropped from our next interior design, replaced instead by calming neutrals. A set of nesting coffee tables layer some shape in front of a very linear minimalist sofa. A backlit book shelf draws a parallel line above it. The small neighbouring kitchen area incorporates a dining bar at the counter space. LED cabinet lighting dramatically illuminates the kitchen’s dark aesthetic. A swing arm wall lamp provides task lighting at the sofa. The dining chairs are positioned on the inside of the small kitchen area so that the TV can be viewed during meal times. Light laminate flooring keeps the interior looking bright deep into the floor plan. Solid expanses of golden upholstery make a luxurious looking bedroom. A modern bedside table lamp rests on an upholstered shelf. A coordinated floor lamp balances out the table lamp on the other side. The platform bed rests on perspex legs, which give the platform a weightless floating effect. Tufted gold upholstery covers every inch of a luxurious reading nook, padding the seat, walls and roof. A black and white geo print accent cushion breaks the solid colour. A whisper of grey tints the other bedroom walls, providing cool contrast. Cappuccino furniture and tinted glass brings depth to the light bathroom scheme. A wire basket toilet paper holder rests beside a modern wall mounted toilet pan with a sharp square profile. A tinted shower screen defines the walk-in cubicle. One bed floor plan. Visualizer: Wertikal Constructions Shades of grey dissect the living room of this 62.5 square metre contemporary apartment in Kiev, Ukraine. A sculptural pendant light descends above a sleek rectangle coffee table. A modern dining set skims the corner of the room, wrapping a wine storage niche. Wide doorways give the home an open flow. A wall mounted console table with floating shoe shelf furnishes the grey home entryway, along with a volume of graphite closets. The smoky grey decor scheme is interrupted by crisp white cabinets in the kitchen, which arrange a clean and airy aesthetic. Countertops and backsplash tiles bring in the grey element. A large floral print is balanced out by a tangle of back bedroom pendant lights on the opposite side of the bed, which is the AIM pendant light. Sheer white drapes let in natural light and views of the city. Wood effect accents warm the white bathroom. Black pendant lights border the vanity mirror. A black countertop floods around the edges of the light vanity unit, framing it against the colour matched beige backdrop. Grey tiles cool the floor and continue into the shower.
